Ten Index is a hierarchical digital data structure designed to categorize everything. Inspired by the logic of the Dewey Decimal System, it organizes information using numerical and color-coded indexing -- streamlined across platforms, folders, files, and systems.
The base design uses 10 top-level categories (0 through 9), with up to 10 subcategories under each. While the theoretical limit is 100 folders, most real-world implementations leave room for future growth and flexibility.
There are different types: personal, business, community, and more. The personal version helps users align their digital lives -- across devices, accounts, and storage systems—using consistent folder names and index numbers.
Ten Index also powers Argos OS, a personal operating system framework that runs entirely on this system. It's a digital worldview, a classification method that nothing escapes. Every file, every project, every note—sorted, indexed, structured, permanent.
Ten Index is open source and Creative Commons. You can use it. You can white-label it. You can remix it. The only thing you can’t do is restrict others from using it. It belongs to everyone. And it works for everything.
