Custom Clock

Completed

My Clock. By Me. For Me.

Clock is my first personal app, built not for mass use, but for one person—me. I didn’t need it to be pretty. I didn’t need it to be modern. I needed it to chime on the hour. Like the grandfather clocks I grew up around. And none of my phones, computers, or devices could do that.

So I made one. In 2023, when AI was just starting to show its teeth, I told ChatGPT to write the code. I didn’t know JavaScript. Still don’t. But line by line, feature by feature, I assembled a working clock app in a webpage. I handled the HTML and CSS—my zone. ChatGPT handled the JS.

It chimes on the hour. Or every 15 minutes. It can track game time. Show internet time. Track world clocks in places that matter to me. And it has a stopwatch and countdown built in. All in one screen. All mine.

This was the first time I used AI to build an entire functional app from scratch. And it worked. I still use it daily—on my tablet, on a side monitor, sometimes on my phone. It’s not pretty to anyone else. It doesn’t need to be. It’s my clock.

If someone asked for their own copy? Sure. I’d clone it and swap out the details. But this one? This version? It's just for me.
