OC Trails

Your Side Project in the Dirt

Orange County Trails is a personal side project. It’s not a nonprofit, not a business—just a public-facing collection of maps, links, and resources related to the parks and trail systems of Orange County, California.

I’ve lived everywhere—from Yorba Linda to Newport Beach to San Clemente—and I love how this massive urban grid hides an incredible trail network. I hike. I bike. I wander. OC Trails is where I stash info, ideas, maps, and layers I use often—and if you find it useful too, great.

The site may look like a mirror of official parks & rec resources, but it’s not trying to compete. It’s just a curated reference point for the green veins that keep this county alive. You’ll find layers, map links, trail data, and eventually maybe some advocacy tools.

I might also use the site for light activism—trail maintenance petitions, expansion projects, alerts where public access is in jeopardy. If there’s a contact form or mailing list, it’ll be low traffic and action-oriented.

This is not a branded initiative. It’s just OC Trails. A little project in the dirt. Built with passion, updated when I can. Use it if it helps.
