FurCity Sanctuary is my newest, most active project—an operating dog rescue in Riverside, California. This is where I’m shifting my time, energy, and attention. The goal is simple: provide a better, more natural life for dogs in transition—rescued, abandoned, or left behind.
Right now, it’s in build mode. I’m organizing the nonprofit foundation, launching the fundraising arm, and establishing collaborations with rescue groups in Riverside, Orange, LA, and San Diego counties. My daily goal is balance: half the day with the dogs (care, cleaning, yard work), the other half working admin, outreach, and finding forever homes.
Most kennels feel like cages. Metal walls, blankets, and chew toys aren’t enough. FurCity will be an open sanctuary space—dirt, gravel, grass, and sky. Dogs that can socialize will. Dogs that can’t will still get freedom. This isn’t a kennel. It’s a park. A home. A chance.
I’ll also reserve a part of the sanctuary for elder dogs—those with little time left and no adoption prospects. They deserve peace, dignity, and love at the end. FurCity will be that final home.
You can track progress or get involved at FurCitySanctuary.com. I'm giving this 3–5 years to scale, build support, and get operational. It’s not just a passion. It’s the new day job. And I love it.
